Danish Black Lacquer Writing Desk

Freestanding desk in high-gloss black lacquered mahogany. The front includes drawers and a door, shelves to the opposite side of the desk. Adorned with an all around brass trim. This desk is raised by eight legs with brass foot caps. Denmark 1950-1955.

Frits Henningsen Mahogany Writing Desk, Circa 1940s

A Danish mahogany writing table by Frits Henningsen, furniture designer and cabinet maker (1889-1965). Mahogany desk on tapered legs. Apron with three drawers, middle drawer with built-in pen tray. This desk is a classic example of Henningsen's elegant clean lines and use of quality woods with perfect balanced craftsmanship. A rectangular top with with molded edge above three drawers raised on square tapered legs. Denmark c. 1940s.

Jacob Kjaer Mahogany Writing Desk

Mahogany writing desk. We have reason to believe that the table is made by Danish Cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær (1896-1957). 4 drawers, table top with raised curved edge, brass details and endings to the feet. Very fine quality craftsmanship. Copenhagen, Denmark c. 1950.
